My whole life I have been looking for happiness and after the death of my mother in 2015, I was in definite need of some happiness. So I enrolled at Emporia State University, thinking I'd find my happiness in the sport that I loved so dearly, track and field. After three years of running circles, I was left burnt out and unfulfilled.
Along the way I lived the typical "college life", thinking I'd find my happiness in partying and all that come with it. Not too much time passed after I realized it wasn't all what it was cracked up to be.
I'd finally had enough and I thought I'd give a faith life a try. Jesus knew of my efforts and he blessed me with in an incredible FOCUS missionary. This FOCUS missionary not only became my best friend but he helped foster and grow a relationship with Jesus Christ that I always needed.
On April 1st, 2018, I was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church and it's only been up from there. My life has completely changed by someone's small yes to serve as I missionary. And what he did for me as a student, inspired me to then go and serve students as a missionary with FOCUS!
