I was blessed to be raised in a Catholic family that taught me about a personal relationship with the Lord and formed my faith well. From a young age, I desired to be a missionary, but I didn’t know what that looked like. When I heard the words from Mark’s gospel “Go forth into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to all creation”, I was terrified.
During college, my faith deepened and I learned that being a leader in the faith is much more than speaking to a large crowd. It starts with leading by example, growing in friendships with the people I encounter, and then sharing the truth of the gospel.
I was incredibly convicted by this idea, and have been running with it the rest of my time in college. As I reached a turning point in my junior year, I realized I had an opportunity to pursue this mission intentionally after college by serving as a FOCUS missionary, and I said yes to the call!
