“The Church gives thanks for all the manifestations of the feminine “genius” which have appeared in the course of history, in the midst of all peoples and nations; she gives thanks for all the charisms which the Holy Spirit distributes to women in the history of the People of God, for all the victories which she owes to their faith, hope and charity: she gives thanks for all the fruits of feminine holiness.” -JPII in his “Letter to Women”
Women’s group is an opportunity for women to come together weekly to grow in deeper relationship with God, greater solidarity among one another, and rekindling the lost art of becoming holy women. Topics and activities are meant to be far reaching and may include panels about men’s & women’s relationships, helpful life skills, using creativity in our prayer lives, and much more. Both history and our current culture have not been good models for who God created women to be. We believe women are strong, brave, compassionate, hospitable, creative, intelligent, and relational.
We hope that all interested women will come join us every Monday from 7-8pm in St. Augustine Newman Centers Lower Lounge.
